Submissions for the 2024 Women’s Prize for Fiction and Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction have now closed.

The Women’s Prize for Fiction and the Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction run from July, when we call for submissions, to the following June, when the winners are announced at an award ceremony in London.

Any woman writing in English – whatever her nationality, country of residence, age or subject matter – is eligible. Books must be published in the United Kingdom between 1 April in the year the Prize calls for entries and 31 March the following year.

Publishers are notified that they can submit by email and are sent regular reminders ahead of the deadline. The submissions deadlines are 1st September for the Women’s Prize for Fiction and 7th September for the Women’s Prize for Non-Fiction.
