The Women’s Prize Trust empowers all women to raise their voice and own their story, shining a spotlight on outstanding, ambitious, original fiction by women from anywhere in the world, regardless of their age, race, nationality or background.
We do this by:
- masterminding the Women’s Prize for Fiction, the largest celebration of women’s creativity in the world
- running talent development programmes such as Discoveries – showcasing women’s stories and different access routes for the writers of tomorrow
- programming workshops – offering opportunities to women writers at key stages of their writing journey to engage with experienced writers and develop the craft through our ‘mistressclasses’
- supporting readers and reading groups from ‘in-need’ demographics – ensuring readers from diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to engage with women’s writing
- organising events – raising awareness of women’s writing and providing access to discourse and debate for all readers.
